Celebrate your pupils' best pieces of writing from this academic year!

Have your pupils created amazing pieces of work this year that you’d love to share with the world?

The Young Writers Annual Showcase is the perfect way to celebrate your pupils’ hard work giving them the chance for their piece to be published in a real book.

From stories and poems to blog posts and essays you can choose any writing your pupils have done this academic year, up to 1,000 words. If there is a longer piece you absolutely love feel free to submit an extract.

It’s the perfect way to celebrate your pupils' achievement, increase their confidence and showcase your school’s talent!

❤️ Your pupils could be published in a real book alongside other budding writers from across the UK

🏆 We're awarding the best writers £100 and a trophy - could it be a pupil from your school?

The Young Writers' Annual Showcase 2023 has a 1,000-word limit, so let your pupils' talent shine! You can view last year's winners here and their feedback below...

"He was very proud of himself and very surprised he won, it was amazing for him - best birthday present as the trophy in the post coincided with his birthday! He said he liked making up the story and now he has a pet caterpillar he will do a story about her. I really love it when children use their imagination and put story on paper for others to share."
Parent of Maximilien Baker (4) (4-year-old category winner)

"I was really excited when I found out I had won the competition and got my trophy. I love seeing my writing in the book and it was lots of fun to enter!"
Iris Bosworth (7) (5-7 year-olds category winner)

"Young Writers’ Annual Showcase was truly the perfect outlet for my creativity. It was a great opportunity for me to write a short essay on ‘Should Fairytales be Changed?’ - a topic I had a keen interest in and greatly enjoyed exploring and debating. I feel inspired to continue creative writing as a hobby."

Muskaan Arora (17) (16-18 year-old category winner)
